Unique Registration Field

Preventing Duplicate Registrations with Unique Fields in EventNook

EventNook offers a Unique Registration Field option to prevent duplicate registrations for your event. By setting a unique field, the system ensures that attendees cannot register more than once using the same information. This helps maintain clean, accurate attendee data and prevents over-registration.

How It Works

You can choose one field from the registration form to be designated as the unique field, such as:

  • Email

  • Company Name

  • Mobile Number

  • NRIC Number

Once a field is set as unique, the system will check for duplicates during the registration process. If an attendee tries to register using the same information in the unique field, they will be prevented from completing a duplicate registration.

How to Set a Unique Field

Here is where to set the unique field in Registration Form setting
  1. Go to Advanced Form Settings:

    • Navigate to your event dashboard and select Registration Form.

  2. Enable Unique Field:

    • Under the Advanced Form Settings section, find the option for Unique Field.

  3. Choose the Unique Field:

    • Select one field (e.g., Email) to be used as the unique identifier for registration, as shown below

This ensures that each attendee can register only once using that specific field.

Important Notes:

  • Online Registration Only: The unique field feature is only applicable for registrations made through the online registration form. It does not apply to bulk registrations done via CSV import.

  • One Unique Field: You can only set one field as unique per event.

Use Cases

  • Conferences and Workshops: Prevent multiple sign-ups from the same attendee using the same email address.

  • Exclusive Events: Limit registrations by NRIC or mobile number to ensure each individual gets one entry.

By using the unique registration field, EventNook helps event organizers reduce duplicate registrations, ensuring accurate and efficient attendee management
