Cascade Form Field
Cascade Form Fields in EventNook: Show/Hide Fields Based on User Selections
EventNook offers a Cascade Form Fields feature, which allows you to create dynamic registration forms that display or hide specific questions based on the user's previous responses. This is useful for tailoring the registration form to each attendee's needs and simplifying the process by showing only relevant fields.
Example Use Case:
Let’s say you have a field asking, "Do you want to attend a dinner?" If the attendee selects Yes, a follow-up question, such as Dietary Preference, will appear. If they select No, the follow-up question will remain hidden.
How Cascade Form Fields Work:
Trigger Fields: Fields like DropDown Lists or Multiple Choice questions serve as triggers.
Conditional Fields: Based on the response to the trigger field, related fields are shown or hidden.
How to Set Up Cascade Form Fields:
Provide Details When requesting this feature, provide the list of field names in Excel with fields to be applied:
The trigger field (e.g., "Do you want to attend a dinner?")
The conditional field (e.g., "Dietary Preference")
The logic (e.g., "Show Dietary Preference if Yes is selected; hide if No is selected.")
Use Cases:
Event Meals: Ask if attendees want to attend a dinner, and only show meal preferences if they select yes.
Workshops or Sessions: Show session selection fields only if the attendee opts for specific categories of interest.
Accommodation: If an attendee requires accommodation, additional fields can be displayed to gather information like check-in date or room preferences.
Important Notes:
Setup by Request: Since this is a customizable feature, reach out to the EventNook team to set up the logic according to your event’s specific needs.
