🚨 Router Shows Red Light – No Internet Access?
If your router is showing a red light and has no internet, here are the most common issues and how to fix them:
SIM Card Issue
SIM may not be activated or is inserted incorrectly. → Remove and reinsert the SIM properly. Make sure it's active and has data.
Roaming Setting Not Enabled
If using a SIM from another country, you must enable data roaming in the router. → Go to Router Configuration (for Huawei B525): http://192.168.8.1 > Network Settings > Mobile Network > Internet Connection > Enable Data Roaming
For other router model configuration sites, you may have to configure via: http://192.168.8.1 > Settings > Dial-up > Mobile Connection > Enable Data Roaming
APN Settings Not Set Correctly
Some SIM cards require a manual APN setup. → Go to (for Huawei B525): 192.168.8.1 > Network Settings > Mobile Network > Internet Connection > Add APN
For other router model configuration sites, you may have to configure via: 192.168.8.1 > Settings > Dial-up > Profile Management → Enter the APN provided by your SIM provider.
Final Step – Reset the Router
If nothing works, do a factory reset (press and hold reset button for 10 seconds). → After resetting, reconfigure Roaming and APN settings as needed.
