Email OTP
Verifying Email Addresses with Email OTP in EventNook
EventNook offers an Email OTP (One-Time Password) feature to ensure that all email addresses provided during registration are valid and error-free. By enabling this feature, attendees will need to verify their email address before completing the registration process, helping organizers collect accurate contact information.
How the Email OTP Feature Works
When the Email OTP feature is enabled, the following process takes place during registration:
The attendee enters their email address in the registration form.
A 6-digit OTP (One-Time Password) is sent to the provided email address.
The attendee must enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration form to proceed.
Once the OTP is verified, the registration can continue.
This process helps ensure that the email provided is valid and eliminates any risk of incorrect or misspelled email addresses.
How to Enable the Email OTP Feature
Go to Registration Form Settings:
From your event dashboard, navigate to the Registration Form section.
Enable Email Verification:
Select the Email Field in the registration form.
Toggle the Verify Email Required option to enable the OTP feature.

Once enabled, attendees will be required to verify their email address before completing the registration.
Benefits of the Email OTP Feature
Accurate Email Collection: Ensures that all email addresses are valid and functional, reducing bounce rates and communication issues.
Prevents Typo Errors: Helps attendees catch and correct any spelling errors in their email addresses before proceeding with registration.
Improves Communication: With verified emails, organizers can confidently send important event updates and confirmations.
This feature is especially useful for events where communication via email is crucial, such as conferences, webinars, or events requiring ticket confirmations or updates.
By enabling email verification with OTP, EventNook helps ensure that organizers collect reliable attendee information, making post-registration communication smoother and more effective.
