Bulk Update CSV

Bulk Updating Guide: Updating Large Amounts Of Attendee Data

The Bulk Update CSV feature in EventNook allows you to mass update a selected field’s information in Excel/Google Sheets before uploading the new data into EventNook’s system. This is useful for users who have large amounts of data to update who already have multiple registrants in their system (e.g. Table numbers, Lucky draw numbers, Tags)

Here's a quick video guide below to guide you through the process! You may also refer to the steps in Steps To Bulk Update Your Data

Steps To Bulk Update Your Data

  1. Selecting desired field to update

  • Click the “Start” button to begin this process, and select the field you would like to bulk update. You can also select specific groups of attendees by using the search criteria.

  • You may also narrow down the attendees whose data you want to update by using the search criteria below. (In this guide, we shall use the [Table No.] field as an example)

  1. Downloading attendees data

  • After selecting the field, you may select up to 3 extra columns of data (e.g. Company name, Mobile number) as references to assist in identifying rows while editing. Once you are done, proceed to download the CSV for the bulk update.

  1. Updating attendees data

  • After downloading the file, you can start to edit the field selected.

  • Open the file in your excel or google sheets and add in the information needed. Once you have completed adding in your desired data, download the file in CSV format, and proceed back to the EventNook system.

  1. Uploading the data

  • Once you have finished updating the data, click next and proceed to the uploading page.

  • In the uploading page, ensure the field edited is the same as the field selecting in the dropdown box. You can also change the Batch Name for your own reference.

  • Next, select the updated file and upload it. Do note that our system only allows 500 records per batch.

  1. Field Mapping

  • Once the file is uploaded, it will bring you to the field mapping page. Check if the columns are matched correctly (e.g. First name column is selected as first name, Tagging column is selected as tagging).

  • If the columns do not match, click the dropdown arrow and select the correct column. Ensure the box in green matches the columns below.

  1. Proceeding with update

  • After checking the columns, do one final check on your data. Once you are satisfied, proceed with the update.

  • This process should take about a minute or so, after it is complete, your data will be updated.
