How to Set a Custom Registration End Date in Your Event

By default, event registration in EventNook will automatically end once the event date has passed. However, as an event organizer, you may want to close registration either earlier or later than the event date. EventNook allows you to set a custom Registration End Date to meet your specific needs.

When to Use the Registration End Date Setting:

• End Registration Earlier: You might want to close registration a few days before the event for planning purposes (e.g., stopping sales 3 days before the event).

• End Registration Later: In some cases, you may want to allow registrations after the event has occurred, such as for attendees who need to be added post-event.

How to Set the Registration End Date:

1. Log in to EventNook Access your event dashboard and select the event you want to manage.

2. Go to Registration Settings

   • Navigate to the Registration Settings section of your event.

   • Look for the option to set the Registration End Date.

3. Set the Custom Registration End Date and End Time

   • Choose a date and time when you want to stop accepting registrations. This could be before or after the event date:

     • Set an earlier date if you need to close registration in advance (e.g., 3 days before the event).

     • Set a later date if you want to keep registration open beyond the event date (e.g., for post-event guests).

4. Save the Settings

   • Once you have chosen the desired registration end date, click Save to apply the changes.

Important Notes:

• Event-Level Setting: The Registration End Date is applied at the event level, meaning it overrides any individual End Date set for specific ticket types in the Ticket Settings.

• Flexibility: You can use this feature to control when registration closes, ensuring that it aligns with your event’s operational needs.

Example Scenarios:

1. Closing Registration Early: You may want to stop registrations 3 days before the event to finalize attendee numbers and logistics. Simply set the registration end date to the desired date before the event.

2. Extending Registration: After the event, you might want to register some late attendees or VIPs who couldn’t sign up during the event. In this case, you can set the registration end date to a few days after the event.
