Collect Individual Details or Buyer Only Form

EventNook Registration Form Data Collection Options

EventNook offers two options for collecting attendee information through the registration form. This flexibility is especially useful for events that accept Group Registration in a single submission.

1. Collect Individual Attendee Details (Default)

By default, the registration form collects details for each individual attendee. This is crucial for events where knowing the personal details of each attendee is important for identification, verification, badging, or event planning purposes.

Typical events where this is useful include:

  • Conferences and Business Exhibitions

  • Seminars and Workshops

  • Sports Events (e.g., Marathons)

In these types of events, organizers often need personal information such as names, company, dietary preferences, tee-shirt size, emails, or other specific details to properly manage logistics and ensure smooth event operations.

2. Collect Buyer-Only Information

The Buyer-Only option is best suited for events where the organizer does not need to know the individual details of each attendee. Instead, only the details of the buyer (the person purchasing the tickets) are collected.

This option is typically used for:

  • Music or Concert Events

  • Family Festivals

  • Other Events Where Only a Ticket Pass is Required

In these cases, attendees simply need to have a ticket to enter, and personal details for each attendee aren't necessary.

How to Set the Registration Form Data Collection Option

To customize the data collection settings:

  1. Go to your event dashboard and navigate to Registration Settings.

  2. Under the General Tab, locate the Registration Form Data Collection section.

  3. Choose between:

    • Default Setting (Collect Individual Attendee Details)

    • Collect Buyer Only

These settings allow organizers to tailor the registration process to the needs of their specific event, ensuring a streamlined and efficient experience for both attendees and the event team.
