Minimum and Maximum Quantity

How to Set Minimum and Maximum Quantity per Order for Discount Codes in EventNook

In EventNook, you can control how discount codes are applied by setting a minimum and maximum quantity per order. This feature is especially useful for group discounts, bulk purchases, or limiting the number of discounted tickets a buyer can purchase in one order.

Minimum Quantity per Order

By setting a minimum quantity, you can require buyers to purchase a certain number of tickets in order to apply the discount. This is useful for special group promotions where attendees must buy multiple tickets to qualify for the discount.

Example: Group Discount for 3 or More Attendees

If you want to offer a group discount that only applies when a buyer purchases at least 3 tickets, you can set the minimum quantity to 3. This way, buyers will need to register at least 3 attendees to activate the discount.

How to Set a Minimum Quantity

  1. Go to your Event Dashboard and navigate to the Discount Code section.

  2. Create or edit a discount code.

  3. In the Advanced Settings, find the option to set a Minimum Quantity per Order.

  4. Enter the desired minimum number of tickets (e.g., 3 for a group discount).

With this setting, the buyer will be required to purchase at least the specified number of tickets to use the discount code.

Maximum Quantity per Order

The maximum quantity setting limits how many tickets can be purchased with the discount code in a single order. This is useful when you want to cap the number of discounted tickets an attendee can buy.

Example: Limiting a Discount Code to 5 Tickets

If you’re running a promotion where buyers can only purchase up to 5 tickets with a discount code, you can set the maximum quantity to 5. This prevents buyers from exceeding the limit and ensures fairness in your promotion.

How to Set a Maximum Quantity

  1. In the Discount Code section, go to Advanced Settings.

  2. Set the Maximum Quantity per Order to limit how many tickets can be bought with the code (e.g., 5 tickets).

  3. Save your settings.

Why Use Minimum and Maximum Quantities for Discount Codes?

  • Group Discounts: Encourage larger registrations by setting a minimum quantity requirement, such as “Buy 3 or more tickets to get 10% off.”

  • Limit Usage: Set a maximum quantity to prevent buyers from purchasing an excessive number of discounted tickets.

  • Better Control: These settings provide better management of promotions and ensure your discount strategy is effective.

How to Set Up Minimum and Maximum Quantities

  1. Log in to your EventNook dashboard and navigate to the Discount Code section.

  2. Create or edit a discount code.

  3. In the Advanced Settings, set both:

    • Minimum Quantity per Order: The number of tickets required for the discount to apply.

    • Maximum Quantity per Order: The limit of tickets that can be purchased in one order using the discount code.

  4. Save your changes.

By setting a minimum and maximum quantity per order, you can fine-tune your discount strategies, ensuring that discounts are applied in a controlled and effective manner, whether for group promotions or limiting bulk purchases.
