External QR Code

How to Import Your Guest List with External QR Code

If you are uploading an External QR Code to be recognized by the EventNook Check-in app for scanning, follow these steps to ensure a smooth and successful import process:

What's an External QR Code?

An External QR Code is a unique ID generated by your current registration system (such as CVent, Splashthat, Eventbrite, etc.), which has already been sent to your guests. This means that the QR codes were created outside of EventNook’s system.

If you're using EventNook for onsite check-in, you can import these external QR codes directly into EventNook. This way, you don’t need to generate new QR codes within EventNook, which helps avoid any confusion caused by having QR codes from two different systems.

By using the existing external QR codes, your guests can seamlessly check in through EventNook’s system without any additional steps or complications.

  1. Prepare Your CSV File

    • Make sure your CSV file includes a column labeled QR Code Ticket.

    • Each attendee must be assigned a valid and unique QR Code in this column. These codes will be used for check-in and ticket validation.

  2. Import the CSV File

    • During the import process, upload your CSV file in EventNook.

  3. Field Mapping Step

    • When prompted, choose the option Import External QR Ticket ID in the Field Mapping step.

    • Select the appropriate field in your CSV to map to the [QR Code] field.

Refer to the following screenshot for an example of how to do the Field Mapping Step.

By following these steps, you can successfully import and assign external QR codes to attendees for seamless ticket validation at your event.
