Brother Label Printer Setup Guide

1. Materials Required

Before you start, ensure you have: ✔ Brother QL-820NWB PrinterLAN Cable (for stable connection) ✔ Wi-Fi RouteriPad (for EventNook check-in) ✔ Router Power Adapter & PlugPrinter Battery & Power AdapterDK Label Roll (Ensure it matches the badge size)


2. Setting Up the Wi-Fi Router

  1. Plug in the Wi-Fi router and turn it on.

  2. Connect the LAN cable from the router to your laptop (if needed for configuration).

  3. Check the Wi-Fi network name & password—you’ll need this for the printer and iPad.

Tip: A dedicated router ensures a stable connection for printing.


3. Setting Up the Brother Printer

  1. Power on the Brother QL-820NWB using the battery or power adapter.

  2. Insert the DK Label Roll, ensuring it clicks into place.

  3. Close the cover and check if the display screen turns on.


📌 LAN connection is more stable than Wi-Fi for printing.

Via LAN (Recommended)

  1. Plug one end of the LAN cable into the printer.

  2. Connect the other end to the router’s LAN port.

  3. The printer should now be connected to the network.

Via Wi-Fi (If No LAN Port Available)

  1. On the printer, go to Menu > WLAN > WLAN (On/Off) > On.

  2. Select Network > Infrastructure Mode > Choose your Wi-Fi.

  3. Enter the Wi-Fi password and connect.


5. Connecting the iPad to EventNook System

  1. Connect the iPad to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

  2. Open the EventNook Check-in App and log in.

  3. Go to Badge Printing Settings.

  4. Select Brother QL-820NWB as the printer.

  5. Run a test print to ensure it's working.
