# Add Collaborator

The **Add Collaborator** feature allows you to grant access to your event so your team can help manage different aspects of the event setup, registrations, and operations.

***

### 🧭 How to Access

1. Log in to your **EventNook account**
2. Select your event
3. Navigate to:\
   **Settings → Add Collaborator**

***

### 👥 What is a Collaborator?

A collaborator is a user you invite to help manage your event. Each collaborator is assigned a role that determines their level of access.

***

### ⚙️ Available Roles

#### 1️⃣ Admin (Owner)

* The **event creator**
* Has **full access** to all settings and features
* Can manage collaborators

***

#### 2️⃣ Manager

* Can manage most aspects of the event, including:
  * Event settings
  * Registration and orders
  * Reports and attendee data
* ❗ Cannot manage or assign collaborators

***

### ➕ How to Add a Collaborator

1. Click **“Add a Collaborator”**
2. Enter the collaborator’s **email address** (must be a registered EventNook user)
3. Select the appropriate **role** (e.g., Manager)
4. (Optional) Set an **Access Expiry Date**
5. Click **“Add User”** to confirm

***

### ⏱️ Access Expiry (Optional)

You can set an expiry date to:

* Grant **temporary access**
* Automatically remove access after a specific date

**Use case:**

* External vendors or temporary staff
* Event-day support teams

***

### 🛠️ Managing Collaborators

From the collaborator list, you can:

* View current collaborators and their roles
* Remove collaborators when access is no longer needed

***

### ⚠️ Important Notes

* The collaborator must have an **EventNook account** (email = login ID)
* Only **Admin (Owner)** can manage collaborators
* Managers **cannot add or remove collaborators**
* Be careful when assigning access to ensure data security

***

### ✅ Best Practices

* Assign **Manager role** for team members who need operational access
* Use **expiry dates** for temporary roles
* Limit access to only what is necessary
* Regularly review and update collaborator access

***

Adding collaborators helps you manage events more efficiently by sharing responsibilities while maintaining control over access and permissions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.eventnook.com/online-registration-setting/add-collaborator.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
